FB-110 - Time just flies   (Murray Nash)
FB-111 - Our love affair   (Murray Nash)
BLUE HEN 215
Harrington, DE

Larry Lee (Pasake) fronted his own band, The Echo Valley Kinfolk and played locally to good reviews. Originally, the band were called the Glen Mountain Boys (according to Billboard on 24th March 1956). Larry and the band performed over WCRV, Washington, NJ about this time. Sometime in May that year, larry drowned trying to save 2 small boys from a sinking rowing boat. (Another story over the internet states it was his brother he was trying to save). The two boys story, if not correct, may have been mentioned incorrectly due to Larry having twins. On Oct 2nd 1956, Newton NJ High School hosted a "Larry Lee memorial Night" which netted $1,330 to be put towards the education of his (by then) 1 year old twins - a fair amount of money in 1956. Performers on the show were Curly Gibson and the Sunshine Playboys, Willis Myers, Johnny Swindell, Ted Paugh and the Jersey Mountain Boys, amongst others.

No label shots as yet. (MC)
